Have you ever sat back in awe of your surroundings, taking each moment in with each breath, encouraging new thoughts and understanding of their existence? Well I have. My view this evening Is flashed with a deep red from the Amazon-purchased lights stuck to the back of my flatscreen. A gorgeous orange/pink glows in the cloudy sky above the entrance to market street. The brightest of orange stands proudly on the outer edge of the Treehouse hotel right in front of me. A gorgeous political and funny drama fills the screen with excitement and the true beauty of family values. The soundtrack of deep suspense controls the narrative of my text. A simple title screen brightens my apartment, herding light toward the serene and effervescent atmosphere. Is the simple joy in life being at home? Previous blog posts prove so.
My fruit pastel inspired nails tap away at the MacBook Air before me, desperately wishing to press the right key as the flow of words escape my mind – I truly am in my creative place. A calming bubble from both my fishtanks, tropical & cold water, calms my nerves of revealing more of my personal thoughts to the world. The comforting purple glow of the clocks abreast the Cathedral Tower align my thoughts and bring tranquility. The deep red reflection from the TV lights flashes around the room as I try a new position to gain endless comfort. My peace lily takes a deep breath as the highest leaf softens into their stem; they need a splash of water. Do you ever wonder if we are completely alone or right where we should be?
There’s been reference of late to my blog feeling a little sad. But I argue the contrary. My soul purpose for this writing is for me to bring thought to this world and the stunning community in which It houses. I disagree that a thought can be denounced to one feeling; but bring light to a multitude of emotions in which we should all embrace and feel. I am not afraid of emotions, and neither should either one of you be. My writing is to be interpreted in any way in which you can resonate, if at all. I want all your feelings to be heard within my writing and want you all to fully wrap your arms around any moment of deep sensitivity and truly adopt it. This is how we become whole.
There’s stigma in the world we live in. It’s all around us and embodies us. But the stigma of feeling ones true emotions needs eradicating immediately. Far often we hear of people struggling with there emotions, the strain of understanding, the ambivalence of accepting and the ultimate all-encompassing fear of displaying. This needs to change. We shouldn’t live in shadow of how we truly feel, or hide behind the thoughts that make us human. We also shouldn’t ever pay a moments thought to what others think of us, our feelings, our emotions or what we choose to show the world. The beauty of life is pretty simple in my eyes; Life is unique. Life is special. Life is meaningful. Why waste a moment of it?
With all this said I do fear for the future of this world and for approaching generations. We are establishing a community of judgment, upset and hurt within a futile scene. Why? Why do we feel the need to belittle and to judge? Why is every moment of passing life a battle with an opposing person. I believe that it truly comes down to fear. The fear of not being accepted. The fear of not being the person we believe the world wants us to be. And right now I say one thing; stop. If we stop fearing the norm, the everyday, the moments of magic, the moments of sadness, the moments that bring nerve and gumption; then there will be sublime change. I feel it. This is the time I push all to embrace those sensational moments we often fear. Don’t be afraid to experience love, laughter, failure, uncertainty, embarrassment, disappointment and anguish, as these feelings will make you who you are! This is the beauty of life.
Have you ever wondered why, as humans, we feel all these crazy emotions? Well it’s because they make us whole. They make us unique. This for me, is the true meaning of life. When I seek companionship and friendships, hey, even when I am interviewing people within work; I am always fascinated by characters soaring free from the norm. I feel overwhelmed with excitement by those who stand out from the crowd, who are inexcusably true to themselves. Those are the people who ultimately make me smile, as this world needs each individual character to shine through.
